About DC Division

Here's some information about the District of Columbia Division and how our unit functions as we continue to striving to touch young lives and motive our young people to learn not only about the military but themselves.

• Our cadets meet one weekend a month at our unit’s drill facility. Our cadets learn basic military skills such as military drill, customs and courtesies, Naval history, and other useful life skills. Physical training is also included in the training regimen.

• The unit also participates in local patriotic events and volunteer assisatance at community activies.  We have participated in Wreaths Across America, Eastern Market DC and the Army Navy Half Marathon, just to name a few. We will continue making our efforts to assist in the community through various volunteer ventures throughout the year.

• All cadets have the opportunity to participate in advanced training opportunities during school breaks, after completion of recruit training. Our drills usually last approximately 8 hours per day and combine physical training with classroom/hands-on instruction when the unit is not scheduled to participate in a event or volunteer endeavor.
